  Saroj Chand, LPC-MHSP, Founder/Owner of ACC
Saroj is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Mental Health Service Provider with roughly 30 years experience in the Mental Health field. She received her B.S. Degree from Hunter College in New York City; she then graduated from the University of Tennessee with Master's and Specialist's degrees. She welcomes individuals, couples and families as well as members of the GLBTQ community. She is a member of Tennessee Counselors' Association and a native of India.

    Emid Armstrong, MS
Emid has a her Masters in Counseling from Argosy University in Nashville , TN. She is working towards her license as a Professional Counselor, she likes working with individuals, couples and families.. She facilitates Groups Against Domestic Violence for men and women. She is fluent in Spanish and is interested in working with Hispanic clients. She is a native of Mexico.

    Mary Barker, SPE
Mary is a Senior Psychological Examiner with more than 20 years of experience. Mary received her Master's degree at The University of Tennessee. Mary offers psychological and psychosexual testing, and provides mental health counseling to adults and adolescents. Mary is a native Tennessean.

    Michael Burford, LCSW
Michael is a licensed clinical social worker. He has Masters degrees in social work and educational psychology from University of Tennessee. He has worked in the mental health field for over 15 years. Michael currently works with adults, adolescents, and children, in individual, couples, and family therapy. While he is a general practitioner, areas of special interest include working with people who have dual diagnosis of physical handicaps and mental health issues. He is a member of the National Association of Social workers and is a native Tennessean.

    Matt Drinnen, LPC-MHS
Matt is a LPC/MHSP with over 10 years of experience in the mental health field. He has experience working with children, adolescents and adults including adolescents involved in the juvenile justice system. His other areas of special interest include learning disabilities, trauma and addiction. Matt is parts I and II trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. He is a member of the Tennessee Licensed Professional Counselors Association.

    Anthony Fuller, LCSW
Anthony graduated in 2002 from the University of Tennessee with an M.S. in Mental Health Counseling. He became a Licensed Professional Counselor/Mental Health Service Provider in 2006. He has several years of experience facilitating groups Against Domestic Violence for both men and women, and now enjoys working with adults who are ready to move beyond their current concerns and challenges and explore new ways to live more successfully with enhanced emotional, physical, and spiritual health. Anthony is a native of Tennessee.

    Cynthia Hernanz, LCSW
Cynthia received her Masters of Science in Social Work degree from the University of Tennessee. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with a wide variety of mental health issues. She provides psychotherapy to individuals, couples and families and welcomes all age groups. Cynthia has interest and experience working with people with disabilities and has awareness of the challenges they face. She also has experience as a hospice social worker and has knowledge of end of life issues and bereavement services. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and a native of Tennessee.

    E. Colvin Idol, LPC-MHSP
Colvin received his Master's degree from The University of Tennessee. He is a mental health counselor and also facilitates groups for court-ordered male batterers counseling. Additionally, Colvin works with victims of clergy abuse, and offers individual and family counseling to adults and adolescents. He is a member of American Mental Health Counselors Association and a native of Tennessee.

Medical   Pradumna S. Jain, M.D.
Dr. Jain is a licensed Psychiatrist, offering medication management to address chemically-related mental health issues. He treats both children and adults. Dr. Jain is a native of India.

    Jesse James, LPC-MHSP
Jesse holds Licensed Professional Counselor/Mental Health Service Provider as well as National Certified Counselor designations.  He got his masters degree from UT Knoxville and is currently working on his Ph. D. He is also a member of the American Counseling Association. He has 10 years experience including inpatient, outpatient, and private practice. His experience has included counseling those with mood disorders such as depression or bipolar disorder, substance abuse issues, anxiety, and many other problems clients may struggle with. He sees adults and children 12 or older.

    Sharon Klene-Lambdin, LPC-MHSP
Sharon holds National Board Certified counselor status, is a Licensed Professional Counselor with Mental Health Service Provider designation, and a member of Tennessee Counselors Association. She received her Master of Science degree in Counseling and has 18 years of experience in the mental health field. Sharon is in private practice helping both adults and children in individual, family, and marriage counseling, which addresses several areas of concern such as depression, anxiety, anger management, panic attacks, manic depression, and ADHD, to name a few. All sessions are strictly confidential. A native of Indiana, she now enjoys living in Knoxville.

    Marjorie Lloyd, MS, LPC-MHSP
Marjorie is a Licensed Professional Counselor who is qualified to address mental health issues. Previous to receiving her license, Ms. Lloyd worked for the Tennessee Departmnt of Children's Services as a case manager for eight years, working with foster children, their families, and families at risk. Ms. Lloyd enjoys doing play therapy with children ages two through nine or ten and individual therapy with children, teens, men, and women. She also enjoys doing marriage counseling, anger management, and using cognitive/behavioral therapy to address many types of mental health disorders including Major Depression, Bipolar 1 and 2 Disorders, various Anxiety Disorders, and so forth. Ms. Lloyd has a Master of Science degree in Educational Psychology with a concentration in Community Counseling from UT-Knoxville. Ms. Lloyd is also a National Certified Counselor.

    Deborah Rowlands, MS, CRS, LPC-MHSP
Deborah Rowlands is a licensed professional counselor with mental health service provider designation, and a certified rehabilitation counselor.  She received her MS degree in counseling at the University of Tennessee in December of 2000. Deborah has nearly ten years post Masters degree experience in mental health work in East Tennessee. In 2001, she obtained her certification in rehabilitation counseling, which allows her to do specialty vocational counseling work with clients who have physical or mental disabilities.   Prior to beginning at Alternative Counseling Center, Deborah worked as a mental health counselor contract employee through Peninsula for the SAP program in Knox County Schools. Deborah serves mental health clients of all ages in general practice counseling, but she is particularly interested in assisting clients with family crisis intervention, marriage counseling, trauma from abuse, eating disorders, mood disorders, and in treating persons with personality disorders. She also has extensive experience with anger management skills training and substance abuse counseling. Deborah is a native Tennessean.

    Carol Ann Rupeka, LPC-MHSP
Carol is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Mental Health Service Provider who works with adults and adolescents with mental health and addiction issues. She has over 20 years of experience in the field of Mental Health and Addiction. Carol Ann is a native of New York who identifies herself as a Christian Counselor.

    Nancy Stewart, LPC
Nancy Stewart is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Reiki Master. She received her Master of Social Work from the University of Louisville in Kentucky. Nancy has been practicing 27 years providing services to adults and adolescents. She uses a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Energy-Based Psychotherapy and Spiritual Response Therapy to assist her clients in gaining insight, making changes and managing emotional distress. Nancy is a member of the Association of Comprehensive Energy Psychology and Complimentary Health Education Organization.  Nancy is a native of Tennessee.
